I wanted to say that you could use the bisect tool, but you're on OSX.Dolphin for Mac is an emulator for two recent Nintendo video game consoles: the GameCube and the Wii.

TL DR version: if you're running Dolphin on Mac OSX and want to get the Power A GameCube controller working correctly, download the 5.0-5376 development version of Dolphin. Nevertheless, I'm stoked to have the controller working flawlessly now Melee feels just as great as it used to when I played it years ago. And it seems like I'll probably need to use a more modern build of Dolphin eventually given the Open GL drama on OSX. Maybe some of the very smart people who work on these iterative development builds would be able to track down the problem and fix this in one of the next builds? This seems to be a commonly available controller so I'm sure others are having the same issue I was.

So apparently Switch Pro controller support was broken in version 5.0, fixed sometime around version 5.0-5376, and then broken again at some point between then and the latest version. It seems that the 5.0-5376 build solved the problem with the Switch Pro controller for this user, so I downloaded it and yes, success: the 5.0-5376 development version supports the Power A GC controller with both analogue sticks working perfectly.

I was originally getting the same issue with the analogue sticks as tricksterdoom (C stick only working in the up and down direction, left analogue stick not working at all in game), and I was getting this issue on both the 5.0 release and the latest development build.īut I read that this controller is basically a Switch Pro controller in the GC form factor, so I did some googling about using the Switch Pro controller with Dolphin and came upon this person experiencing the same issue with the analogue sticks.

I *did* get this controller to work, after a bit of online investigation, which is great because the GC controller has my favorite form factor in a controller ever and this model is the easiest way I've discovered to set it up wirelessly. Hey all, wanted to check in here real quick with my experiences with the Power A GameCube controller on Mac OSX for anyone who might be interested. Is there any chance these issues will get fixed? it only recognises up and down on the c-stick (not left or right) I can set the directions but it doesn't work in game and it also doesn't show i'm pushing a particular direction on the axis in the controller config screen. it won't recognise the left analogue stick (other than the button you click in - the 元, if you will). But the following issues are occurring when I'm configuring the controller: Trying to configure this controller and I was pleased that my computer did recognise it.
